I love sharing the work of artists who use materials in innovative,
contemplative, and resourceful ways. Yoshimi blesses us with all of that and more.
Her process is as inspiring as the finished pieces.
Usually newspapers remain in our hands for a day or so
before they are recycled or thrown away.
Yoshimi begins each piece with a newspaper, and builds it up with each daily issue. She uses the basic knitting stitches "knit" and "pearl" for construction.




































This is so wonderful! It's why we love fiber of all kinds.
